Partnering with Day of AI Australia to Expand Access to AI Education

AI is no longer just for developers and data scientists. It’s showing up in classrooms, workplaces, and everyday decisions. That’s why teaching the next generation how it works and how to use it responsibly is more important than ever.
Day of AI Australia is helping make that happen. Since 2022, the program has reached more than 140,000 students with a classroom-ready curriculum, interactive lessons, and teacher training. Already this year, over 39,000 students have taken part. Backed by a $1.5 million grant from Google.org and in partnership with UNSW, the initiative is expanding to reach even more students, especially those in regional, low-SES, and underrepresented communities.
We’ve supported Day of AI Australia over the past few years to help grow its reach and impact. It’s part of our broader commitment to education because unlocking opportunity doesn’t stop at the checkout.
That same mindset drives how we support learning inside Rokt. This year we launched AI April, a month-long internal program that gave Rokt’stars space to explore AI tools, share what they learned, and bring new ideas to the table. From pilots to prototypes, it sparked conversations and experiments that are still evolving.
We also run Rokt’athon, our internal hackathon that brings together teams from across the business. It’s not just about code. It’s about solving real problems and applying new thinking, often with AI at the center.
Outside our walls, we’ve also teamed up with Teach for Australia, supporting efforts to tackle educational disadvantage. From matching public donations to funding new teacher recruitment, we’ve helped contribute to initiatives that are making a difference where it matters most.
Whether a student learns what AI is for the first time or a teammate finds a smarter way to work, learning fuels progress. We’ll keep supporting it inside our business, in schools, and in the communities we’re part of.
