Fueling the Future of AI Education in Australia

Day of AI Australia has been selected as one of only 20 organizations globally and the only one in Australia to join the 2025 Google.org Accelerator: Generative AI. Backed by $1.5 million in funding and technical support from Google.org and Google’s product experts, the program will supercharge Day of AI’s work in classrooms across the country, especially those in regional, low-SES, and underrepresented communities.

At Rokt, we’re proud to have supported Day of AI Australia over the years as it has rapidly grown into a national program. With this global recognition and new investment, Day of AI is set to expand even further, reaching more classrooms and more students across Australia.

This reflects Rokt’s broader mission: to unleash everyone’s potential. By backing education initiatives that empower the next generation of builders, we’re helping ensure that more people have the opportunity to shape the future.

From awareness to action: Bringing generative AI into the classroom

With this new wave of funding, Day of AI Australia is launching an ambitious initiative to co-design classroom-ready generative AI experiences alongside teachers and students. In partnership with UNSW’s School of Computer Science and Engineering, the program will develop open-access resources to equip young people with both the technical literacy and ethical frameworks to thrive in an AI-powered world.

As Day of AI shared in their announcement, “We want students to move beyond passive users to become active, thoughtful creators with AI.”

At Rokt, we couldn’t agree more. We believe understanding AI, how it works, where it shows up, and how to use it responsibly is foundational knowledge for the next generation.

“Investing in Day of AI is about more than just funding a program, it’s about backing a future where every student, no matter their background, is equipped to shape the world with AI. That’s what unleashing potential looks like.” Jacqui Purcell, CFO

Why we invest in education

Rokt is built by builders. But we know the future of technology depends on who gets to build it. That’s why we’re committed to supporting the people, pathways, and programs that unleash potential, like Day of AI Australia through our broader Build Forward by Rokt initiative, which channels time, funding, and technology into expanding access to education and opportunity.

Inside Rokt, we bring that same mindset to life with initiatives like AI April, a month-long program designed to upskill and energize our teams around the responsible use of AI. And Rokt’athon, our internal hackathon, gives cross-functional teams the space to apply AI in new ways to real business challenges.

Beyond our walls, we partner with organizations like Teach For Australia, helping tackle educational inequity through public donation matching and teacher recruitment support.

Whether it’s a student learning about AI for the first time or a Rokt’star testing a new tool, we believe learning fuels progress, and we’ll keep backing it wherever we see potential ready to be unlocked.
