Meetup is a leading platform for hosting and organizing group activities, gatherings and events. With Meetup, members meet new people, make new friends and build local communities.

Keen to grow revenue beyond its existing subscription business, Meetup partnered with Rokt to drive revenue by delivering premium third-party offers upon completed activity or event RSVP.

Following Rokt’s recommendation, Meetup built out a new, full RSVP confirmation page. This approach streamlined the user journey by removing multiple competing initiatives and reducing customer confusion. As a result, Meetup achieved a 2x uplift in RPM, now generating $78,000 in net profit for every 1M event RSVPs.

Moving forward

Having initially launched the new UX across desktop and mWeb traffic in limited markets, Meetup then rolled out across 100% of traffic globally – a strategy designed to maximize revenue potential moving forward.
